Dalam industri migas dan energi, kerusakan pipa bahkan berpotensi menimbulkan kerugian besar dan risiko lingkungan serius.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apa Itu Sistem Pencegahan Korosi Katodik?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sistem pencegahan korosi katodik atau cathodic protection adalah metode perlindungan logam dengan cara mengubah sifat elektrokimia permukaan logam agar tidak mengalami oksidasi (korosi).<\/p>\n<p>Prinsip dasarnya adalah menjadikan pipa sebagai katoda dalam suatu sel elektrokimia, sehingga reaksi korosi dialihkan ke material lain yang berfungsi sebagai anoda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jenis Sistem Proteksi Katodik<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Terdapat dua metode utama dalam sistem proteksi katodik:<\/p>\n<p>1. Sacrificial Anode (Anoda Korban)<\/p>\n<p>Metode ini menggunakan logam yang lebih reaktif, seperti magnesium atau seng, yang dikorbankan untuk melindungi pipa. Logam anoda akan terkorosi lebih dahulu, sementara pipa tetap terlindungi.<\/p>\n<p>Keunggulan metode ini:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instalasi relatif sederhana<\/li>\n<li>Tidak memerlukan sumber listrik eksternal<\/li>\n<li>Cocok untuk sistem skala kecil hingga menengah<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Namun, anoda perlu diganti secara berkala karena akan habis terkorosi.<\/p>\n<p>2. Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP)<\/p>\n<p>Metode ini menggunakan arus listrik eksternal yang dialirkan melalui anoda inert untuk melindungi pipa. Sistem ICCP umumnya digunakan pada jaringan pipa panjang seperti pipa minyak dan gas.<\/p>\n<p>Kelebihan metode ICCP:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Efektif untuk jaringan pipa skala besar<\/li>\n<li>Kontrol perlindungan lebih presisi<\/li>\n<li>Umur pakai sistem lebih panjang<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Namun, sistem ini membutuhkan sumber daya listrik dan pemantauan berkala.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Komponen Utama Sistem Proteksi Katodik<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sistem proteksi katodik biasanya terdiri dari:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anoda (korban atau inert)<\/li>\n<li>Kabel penghubung<\/li>\n<li>Sumber arus listrik (untuk ICCP)<\/li>\n<li>Test point untuk monitoring tegangan<\/li>\n<li>Coating pelindung pipa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coating atau lapisan pelindung tetap diperlukan untuk meminimalkan area logam yang terpapar langsung dengan tanah.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pentingnya Monitoring dan Pemeliharaan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Proteksi katodik tidak bersifat \u201cpasang lalu lupa\u201d.
